Soch Foundation Building The SOCH Foundation traces it roots to the mid-1950’s when a grassroots fundraising effort began to establish a hospital in southern Ocean County.  After 20 years of hard work by hundreds of dedicated volunteers, Southern Ocean County Hospital opened its doors on August 8, 1972.  Since that summer day, the Foundation, its Board, its Auxiliaries, it volunteers and its staff continued to work to ensure that today’s SOCH has the resources required to provide the best healthcare available to all in southern Ocean County and beyond.
