The Lights of Life holiday lighting ceremony has become a special Southern Ocean County tradition. Each year, the Hospital’s friends place their special gifts (lights, stars, bells, and angels) on our tree in honor, memory, or thanksgiving for their loved ones. We sincerely hope you will be a part of this very special event on Thursday evening, December 11 at 5:30pm! Again this year, organizations from the communities served by the Hospital, will decorate a tree in our Margaret C. Reynolds Arboretum. There will be exquisite holiday trees and, of course, our friends from the Jewish Community Center will light the menorah to make it a truly community-wide holiday celebration of light! This year’s event is underwritten by AmerGen, and supported by our sponsors, Atlantic City Electric, and Lights of Life Chair, Mrs. James (Joan) Hart. As always, a commemorative journal will list all those remembered, along with those who made gifts in their honor. The Lights of Life journal will be distributed during the lighting ceremony on Thursday, December 11, beginning at 5:30pm. Everyone is invited for music and holiday refreshments. Choirs will sing, bands will play, and Santa Claus will even make his grand entrance for the finale! You are invited to participate in this very special program by placing your gift on the Lights of Life tree. Those persons honored by your gift will be notified of your thoughtfulness. For further information, please contact the Foundation at 609.978.3081. Please encourage everyone you know to participate in this Holiday Celebration! We look forward to placing your gift on the Lights of Life tree, and to seeing you at this very special Southern Ocean County Holiday Celebration on December 11th.
